Railyards Road Opening

We set up our Park-in-a-POD on Railyards Blvd to help celebrate the grand opening of the roads in the Railyards development in Downtown Sacramento.  The Railyards developers asked us to help open the roads and kick-off the much anticipated development.  Our park served as a pit-stop and turn around point for more than 200 bicyclists, and esteemed guests such as Congresswoman Doris Matsui, City Council Members Steve Hansen and Jeff Harris, CalTrans Director Malcolm Dougherty, and City Manager John Shirey. We also teamed up with some local bicycle-friendly organizations to emphasize the active transportation planned for the new development.  We had booths and refreshments from Practical Cycle, Old Soul Co., Edible Pedal Delivery Service, KOMPANPlaygrounds, and Chocolate Fish Coffee. Special thanks to Green Acres Nursery & Supply for for the generous support in providing the plants, and Signature Reprographics for donating our signage!
