Landscape Designer/Architect Position Available

Wood Rodgers, a progressive multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Sacramento, California is looking for a Landscape Designer/Architect to work in the Landscape Architecture Department.  We seek an entry-level individual with up to 3 years of experience preparing sketches, plans, construction drawings, technical reports, contract documents, correspondence and cost estimates in a landscape architecture environment.

Top candidates will have proficiency with AutoCAD; baseline skills in Land F/X, MS Office and Photoshop; strong written and verbal communication skills; and, understanding of construction drawings, methods and materials.   A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture is required.  Landscape Architect licensure is preferred, but not required.

Daily tasks will include interaction with landscape architect staff and other departments to coordinate key elements; preparation of technical reports, contract documents; and, may attend and participate in public agency meetings.

Your Duties:

Prepare presentation graphics, reports and exhibits for conceptual designs, master plans, client meetings, and workshops.
Prepare construction documents including layout plans, planting plans, irrigation plans, grading plans, design details, cost estimates and specifications.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Landscape Architecture (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
  • 0-6 years of related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, GIS, and/or LandFX experience is preferred, but not required
