Registration is open for the Climate Action Symposium on April 18, 2025, hosted by ASLA Sierra Chapter. Join us for a day-long interactive, multidisciplinary experience where designers, state and local agencies, academics, and community leaders will converge to share actionable strategies to further climate solutions.

This event will be an exchange of ideas and opportunities, uniting voices of those committed to making a difference. Register now to learn, share, connect and strategize for meaningful change!

    • Break out into sessions focused on leading climate topics.

    • Hear from climate experts exploring ideas for the future of the profession, policy, and practice.

  • Action Groups

    • Participate in afternoon break-out sessions that explore practice, tools, and advocacy opportunities.

  • Dream Session

    • Collaborate with other participants to set short and long term goals for advancing climate action in California.

Call for Presentations

Calling all Climate Changers!

Do you have a great project that addresses climate issues? Are you researching nature-based solutions as climate response? Are you a power user of any tools critical to understanding performance? 

We are seeking proposals for engaging sessions related to climate change in California: extreme heat, drought, flooding, carbon management, policy and advocacy, sea-level rise, and inland flooding, etc. 

Session formats will be either 30 or 60 minutes and can be solo or multiple presenters. Preference will be given to proposals with multiple presenters for the 60 minute formats and sessions with a mix of presenters from within and outside the profession of landscape architecture.
